XYZprinting Da Vinci 2.0A Duo 3D Printer (Customised)
Negotiable
XYZprinting Da Vinci 2.0A Duo 3D Printer (Customised).
NOTE: This 3D printer has been heavily modified and will need work.
DO NOT BUY if you are looking for your first 3D printer - this one is NOT for you.
The printer comes with all of its original plastic case, covers, waste bins, filament reels (no filament left, I threw it in the bin, where it belongs). It comes with both of it's original extruders, not that you'd want to use them. It will come with other goodies as well that are well worth having if you're a 3D printing enthusiast/modder.
It currently has an E3D hotend and the cartridge has been modified extensively. It has been converted to bowden instead of direct drive (for faster and better quality prints). I've done a fair bit of work to it to even out the build plate temperature, take out slack/play, etc.
I was working on a custom Marlin firmware build for the printer. I think I got everything working except for the menus on the front panel. Unfortunately, I lost all of my work when I accidentally deleted partitions from the wrong hard drive. So, it has a custom single-extruder build of Marlin on it, which from memory is useable, but far from perfect. I also don't remember if I had the thermal runaway protection for the hotend enabled or not, though it's not hard to test that.
You can put Repetier firmware on this printer, which is what it had for years, but it is capable of running Marlin if you're capable of making a custom Marlin build. I took me about a week to get it mostly right, and I was stuck trying to get the up/down/left/right and OK buttons working. The home button works and homes the printer as you'd expect.
It will come with some goodies, and we can negotiate a price (2x genuine E3D hotends plus a couple of clones for example). I will probably find more goodies to throw in. I'll have to see what I've got, what I don't need, etc.
You can continue where I left off or you can use it for parts or whatever you want. I don't have time for the project and would like it to go to someone who does or who is interested in customising it further and making it their project.
If you want me to put all the plastic covers and stuff back on it, it would probably be best done while you're here so you can see how it goes back together, since you'll probably end up removing those covers again if you're going to continue customising it or parting it out.
I would like to get at least $150 for it, which would actually be a bargain in many ways, but we can negotiate based on what you want or don't. Negotiations about what else it comes with and the price will probably be best done in person.
Again.. if you are new to 3D printing and just want a cheap printer, this one will almost certainly be too much for you to take on. Just buy one that already works.
No holds. Call to arrange collection and pickup within 2 hours, otherwise it will be offered to the next interested person.
Call between 11am-6pm.
Collections 11am-8pm.
Pickup from Frankston, Vic. (Karingal).
