Lupara two-person motorhome
Negotiable
For only $65K (neg), here's the way to get the simplicity of driving a dedicated motorhome with the convenience of being able to leave it on site while you drive around in a separate vehicle. The Lupara 'Osprey' is a most comfortable motorhome, as easy to drive as a car and not requiring the challenges inherent in towing or reversing a caravan. AND you can drive the tow vehicle around town any time, just as you would any other car.
A unique combination of mobile home with separate prime mover, the Lupara is a rigid, non-articulated 3-axle motorhome whose two components can be disconnected to allow the living unit to remain on site while the prime mover becomes a simple people (or goods) transporter. The prime mover and home unit are joined using the ABC New Inventors award-winning Quick-Hitch System. And the towing vehicle itself can be swapped for a new vehicle altogether if desired, with the Quick-Hitch componentry being transferred to the new unit.
When in your campsite, back up to get a full view from around the dinette while screening out unwanted neighbours. (Look at the clever placement of the windows.) Then unhitch the prime mover from the home unit and you can drive yourself around sightseeing or just go out for dinner, all while leaving the motorhome safely and securely on site.
This is the perfect way to explore what Australia has to offer in a comfortable mobile home -- and the emphasis here is indeed on 'comfortable', 'mobile', and 'home'. While the present owners have largely used powered sites for their camping where possible, this 'Osprey' has fully self-contained and separate storage for freshwater, sullage, and sewage, and so can be used for free camping without leaving any trace in the environment.

It is believed that Lunson Engineering who developed the system (and who were not really motorhome manufacturers at all) produced about 40 Luparas as demonstration vehicles for their Quick-Hitch System before selling the design elsewhere.
The combination of a unique and highly practical hitching system, together with the extremely high-quality design, construction, and fit-out of their motorhomes means that Luparas are both very much sought-after and not often available. This perfect motorhome-for-two has been in one ownership for the last 12 years, and is being offered now only because the owner's health has recently declined.
