I love this simple little very cute ring box. I've started to make a few more of these ones. The lid sets this off, with "fire red" resin flowing through the old river oak, with a flood coat on top to give it a glass like finish. Timber in the main box is Mahogany and Blackheart Sassafras. I was asked by a woman to make a box for her husband's watches and cufflinks. Very complicated box so I made 2 of them. Each compartment is lined with velvet and padded velvet on the bases. This is a "WOW" box. I've been experimenting with resin flood coats on the lids of my boxes. The finish is just like glass. Scratch proof, heat resistant, UV resistant (and even food safe). The timber used in this box is Rosewood and Silver Ash. The timber embedded into the lid is an old piece of a slab or Huon Pine.
